When reel resistance feels different

Start with what changed

If the resistance feels different, check whether the magnet arrangement, line setup or spool speed has changed. Compare with your known configuration before assuming a fault.

Inspect the assembled reel

Look for trapped line, grit and incorrect seating. If rotation feels gritty, uneven or obstructed, stop using the reel and follow the care instructions. Do not force the mechanism.

Make the next comparison useful

Return to a known arrangement, vary one factor and compare at a similar speed. If the difference persists, tell support which configuration you used and what you observed.
