Description
A recognizable open-center form, with magnetic feedback you can make your own. Developed over four years, the Fly-Fin Magnetic Reel brings together a rounded shell, an exterior without exposed screws, and configurable resistance, sound and tactile feel.
Considered in the details
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum: an anodized body with a fine matte finish.
- PEI grip and brass counterweight: contrasting materials arranged on opposite sides of the rotating spool.
- Accessible spool rim: space for fingertip pressure when additional control is needed.
- A configurable magnetic ring: explore the rhythm and resistance you prefer, starting with the factory arrangement.
A different source of feedback
Magnetic interaction and small movements of the chambered outer-ring magnets create resistance, clicks and tactile feedback. The mechanism replaces traditional tooth-and-pawl engagement; it does not make the entire reel friction-free or maintenance-free.
The factory setup is the starting point for line control. Suitable resistance helps slow unwanted spool rotation, while line handling and fishing conditions still matter. No configuration guarantees zero overrun in every situation.

Keep essential tools within reach with padded paracord, quick-detach connections and a clothing clip that helps control the hanging length. Remove attachments for a simpler everyday setup.

Explore quieter feedback, a distinct click or a different tactile rhythm by adjusting the outer-ring magnets according to the manual. The same adjustable ring offers different combinations of resistance, sound and feel.

Sound and resistance are connected. A quieter setup should not be assumed to keep the same resistance, and no configuration is specified as absolutely silent.

The optional US$60 Guardian Service activates 90 days after delivery, then provides 24 full months of protection.
Functional damage during the active term qualifies for unlimited exchanges, with no return required. If no exchange claim is used during the term, the plan converts to US$60 store credit toward a future Fly-Fin purchase, not cash.
